Ladybug Girl and Bingo, by Jacky Davis and David Soman

Ladybug Girl is back, with her loyal sidekick, Bingo! The duo is back in the usual beautiful color pages of their latest adventure.

Lulu’s family goes camping, and while Bingo usually sticks close to his companion’s side, the pup wants to explore a bit. Ladybug Girl tries very hard to hold tight to Bingo’s leash, but what if he gets loose? Being responsible for Bingo is a good lesson for Lulu and she quickly learns not to take it lightly.

Authors Jacky Davis and David Soman have done it again with Ladybug Girl and Bingo. The husband and wife team have written another book with a sweet ending and Soman’s landscape illustrations are amazingly beautiful. Young readers and their parents have come to love Ladybug Girl for her spunk and curiosity, as well as her determination. Children will relate to Lulu’s desire to be independent.

This book is barely a month old, but when is the next one scheduled? We’re not sure we can wait!

Ladybug Girl and Bingo, $16.99, Penguin Young Readers Group. ladybuggirl.com/. Available at Little Shop of Stories in Decatur or on Amazon.
