I have rejected a whole lot of the hype around healthy, environmentally friendly food for a few years now. But one taste of the chicken croquettes or burgers at Farm Burger converted me.

Chef Terry Koval is utilizing years of experience making high-falutin’ foodstuffs to turn an ordinary burger into a life-changing meal. All food is locally grown, meat is grass-fed — their whole schtick is sustainable, local, humane food. They want you to think about where your food comes from. And it is goooooood.

Even though the restaurant is always busy, my picky toddler and vegetarian husband love coming here, too. And seats always seem to be available by the time you’ve ordered. Food comes quickly and is consistently good, and the staff is friendly.

Hours: Sun.-Thurs., 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri. and Sat., 11:30 a.m.-midnight
Vegetarian-friendly: quinoa burger, salads, fries, seasonal veggie specials
Your kids will love: Little Farmer cheeseburgers or chicken lollipops with fries, temporary cow tattoos, organic juice selection
You will love: good beer selection, great music (loud enough to cover a kid tantrum but not too loud to be disruptive), incredibly fresh burger toppings
Prices: $6 burgers (some toppings extra), kids’ meals for $5. Sides around $3.

410 W. Ponce De Leon Ave., Decatur, 404-378-5077. www.farmburger.net.
