Worth the wait for Flying Biscuit

It’s hard to walk through Candler Park and not be surrounded by dogs, families with strollers and a long line outside the Flying Biscuit Café.

Kids will feel they stepped into a fairytale with the hand-painted murals covering the walls and ceiling, including “flying biscuits” with gold wings shooting through the clouds.

The food not only pleases the tastebuds, but everything on the menu is organic with plenty of vegetarian options. The restaurant offer “kids eat free” nights at select locations and the menu selections are moderately priced.

The Candler Park location inspires scenic strolling through the neighborhood while trying to burn off the complimentary massive biscuit, complete with homemade apple butter. 1655 McLendon Ave. NE, Atlanta. 404-687-8888. www.flyingbiscuit.com.
