Bright red walls, vintage guitars, bowling balls and tiki mugs greet customers entering Elwood’s Pizza. One of the first things diners see is a portrait of the owner’s rather unusual looking dog with long gray hair covering his eyes, curly hair surrounding his torso. The pizza restaurant is named after the dog, Elwood, and his footprints can be seen embedded in the concrete floor.

Elwood’s Pizza offers standard (though tasty) fare, including kid-friendly options such as pizza sold by the slice all day, which can be “kid-cut” for younger children, cheese breadsticks and ice cream. On Mondays, kids get a free slice with any adult purchase.

There’s fun for adults as well, including a monthly beer tasting, 50 beer options, and wine sold either by bottle or glass. In the game room, there’s a pool table for adults, and arcade games for kids. 3883 Peachtree Road, Atlanta. 404-816-9730. www.elwoodspizza.com.
